Rarity context (Pick S431a–c): the August 1920 issue (S431b) is the rarest, the November 1920 bill (S431c) is scarce and significantly harder to locate than the January 1920 issue (S431a), which is the most frequently encountered but often in poor condition. Survival across all three months is limited, with only a small number of intact, untampered examples known. The design is executed in dark ink directly on fabric, with the weave of the cloth clearly visible through the printed impression. A framed central inscription panel is surrounded by ornamental borders incorporating vegetal motifs and a stylized wave band along the lower register. The printing exhibits uneven ink saturation and localized strike variation, consistent with hand-cut woodblocks and manual printing methods rather than mechanized presses.

Affixed at the upper left are two examples of Egypt’s First-Issue adhesive revenues: one 1 millieme (UNE PIASTRE) and one 2 milliemes (DEUX PIASTRES), printed in green with the large central oval framing the Khedivial tughra and the GOVERNMENT OF EGYPT bilingual banner. Both stamps remain fresh in color, retaining full perforations. Each is tied to the paper by a clear magenta manuscript cancellation across the top ("١٩٠٧"), a style used only during the earliest months of adhesive fiscal use. The cancellation touches the design but preserves all internal details of the frame and value tablets.
