Luxembourg 1956 Banque Internationale a Luxembourg 100 Francs back photographic proof in monochrome, showing industrial workers, machinery, and two placeholder serials 123456 without prefixes

Banque Internationale à Luxembourg 1956 - 100 Francs Back Photographic Proof (Pick Unlisted)

Denomination inscriptions and issuer text are fully embedded within the ornamental framework, confirming that the reverse had reached a complete and stable design state by the time this proof was prepared. The proof also includes the serial number positions used in the issued note, but instead of finalized numbers, both positions are filled with placeholder numerals "123456" without alphabetic prefixes. This establishes the proof as a late production-stage reference, where numbering logic had already been fixed but variable data had not yet been assigned. Read more →

Poland 1994 50 Zlotych rare London print C-prefix issued note, serial CH9769411, cataloged as Pick 175a and Milczak 198A, printed by Thomas De La Rue London for Narodowy Bank Polski, depicting King Kazimierz III Wielki with modern post-redenomination security design

Poland 1994 - 50 Zlotych Rare London Print C-Prefix Note, CH9769411, Milczak 198A

Its principal significance lies in the CH prefix. Within the 1994 series, the 50 Zlotych is the only denomination whose London-printed serial sequence advanced into the C-prefix range. The London runs of the 10 Zlotych, 20 Zlotych, 100 Zlotych, and 200 Zlotych ended within the A or B ranges, while later domestic production by PWPW in Warsaw began with D prefixes. The partial C-prefix sequence therefore forms a distinct production interval found only on the London-printed 50 Zlotych. Read more →
