Issued 50 Złotych banknote of the Narodowy Bank Polski dated 1 December 1988 displaying a major typographic omission error. The entire printed layer containing the line 'WARSZAWA, 1 GRUDNIA 1988' together with the signatures of the issuing officials (Prezes and Główny Skarbnik) is completely absent. Poland 1988 - 50 Zlotych Prefix HK Issued Note (Pick 142c)

Production of the note involved multiple printing stages typical of late twentieth-century security printing at PWPW. A multicolor offset background established the geometric security pattern across the note, followed by intaglio engraving for the portrait and denomination elements. Its principal significance lies in the CH prefix. Within the 1994 series, the 50 Zlotych is the only denomination whose London-printed serial sequence advanced into the C-prefix range. The London runs of the 10 Zlotych, 20 Zlotych, 100 Zlotych, and 200 Zlotych ended within the A or B ranges, while later domestic production by PWPW in Warsaw began with D prefixes. The partial C-prefix sequence therefore forms a distinct production interval found only on the London-printed 50 Zlotych.

As a remainder, the note survives without serial numbering or series prefix, preserving the finished printed form before completion as circulating currency.
