Argentina 1869 - Banco Domingo Garbino, 1 Peso Fuerte Issued Note with Red Overprint (Pick S1802)

The base design reflects ABNC's late-1860s export engraving style. A central horse-head vignette is flanked by a youthful female portrait at left and an industrial allegorical vignette at right. Argentina 1867 Oxandaburu y Garvino 5 Pesos Bolivianos remainder, Pick S1776r, serial 009148 with retained matching counterfoil, GARVINO misspelling and American Bank Note Company engraving

Argentina 1867 - Banco Oxandaburu y Garvino 5 Pesos Bolivianos Remainder (Pick S1776r)

Two principal engraved vignettes dominate the design. At left, a rural scene shows a standing man and woman within an agricultural setting, surrounded by elements of country life. United States 1872 State of South Carolina 50 Dollars Revenue Bond Scrip Columbia Act March 2 1872 PMG 67 EPQ Superb Gem Uncirculated

United States 1872 – State of South Carolina $50 Revenue Bond Scrip Act of March 2 1872 Columbia Issue

The design balances artistry and propaganda. At center, an engraved portrait of George Washington anchors the composition, flanked by vignettes emblematic of South Carolina’s economy: a farmer with a horse-drawn plow at left and a cotton field worker at right. Above, 'The State of South Carolina' arcs in bold Gothic script under the heading 'Revenue Bond Scrip.' Rich green tinting reinforces the denomination, with large shaded 'FIFTY' protectors and dual '50' counters in ornate guilloche. The intricate micro-lettered border repeats the word 'FIFTY' in alternating fonts-a subtle security feature designed to frustrate counterfeiters.
