Poland 1988 - 50 Zlotych Prefix HK Missing Signatures Date Print Error Issued Note (Pick 142c)

Production of these notes involved multiple sequential printing stages. First a multicolor offset background and security pattern were applied, followed by intaglio engraving for the portrait and main denomination elements. Serial numbers were then printed in red, after which a separate typographic pass added the date line and official signatures. The present error indicates that the sheet either skipped the final typographic stage or passed through the press with an uninked plate, leaving the signature panel blank while all other printing layers remain complete. Remainder of the 50 zlotych note from the 1994 Narodowy Bank Polski series, dated 25 March 1994 and printed by Thomas De La Rue in London. Cataloged as Pick 175ar and corresponding to Milczak 198a-b, the piece preserves the complete printed design of the issued note in its unnumbered remainder form.

The face preserves the complete 50 Zlotych design prepared for the National Bank of Poland, with the portrait of King Casimir III the Great, the Polish eagle, the denomination PIĘĆDZIESIĄT ZŁOTYCH, the large 50 value device at left, the National Bank of Poland title, and the Warsaw date of 25 March 1994. The printed signatures are those of Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, President of the National Bank of Poland, and Wieslaw Biernatowicz, Chief Treasurer.
