Issued 5 Pesos Fuertes note of Banco Domingo Garbino, produced from an earlier 1869 Banco Oxandaburu y Garbino note printed by the American Bank Note Company (Compania Americana de Billetes de Banco Nueva York) and later placed into circulation under Banco Domingo Garbino through the large diagonal red overprint "BANCO DOMINGO GARBINO." The overprint identifies the provisional reuse of the underlying Oxandaburu y Garbino stock under the successor banking identity. Pick S1803 records this issued overprint form of the 5 Pesos Fuertes denomination.
