Paraguay 1907 - Banco de la República 5 Pesos Issued Note (Pick 156)

Issued 1907 Banco de la República 5 Pesos note, cataloged as Pick 156 and printed by Waterlow & Sons, London. This is the original, non-overprinted base type from which the later 1912 5 Pesos emergency state-overprint issue was created. In this untouched issued form, without the later “Emisión del Estado” oval stamp and without the additional reverse Treasury validation seen on the dual-side fiscalized variety, the note preserves the full Waterlow & Sons design as Paraguay originally released it under the monetary framework of 1907. Poland 1946 - 1 Zloty Narodowy Bank Polski Specimen (Pick 123s)

The note carries a red SPECIMEN overprint across both sides together with red diagonal cancellation lines extending from corner to corner. These permanent markings identified the note as a specimen and prevented its use as circulating currency. Like the issued note, it was produced without a serial number or prefix. Great Britain c. 1900 - Thomas Cook and Son 20 Pounds Circular Note, Cancelled Unissued Note (Pick Unlisted)

The note carries a normal production serial number and no SPECIMEN overprint or other specimen designation. Its uncompleted operational fields, absence of holder or bank endorsements, and completely blank reverse indicate that it never completed the normal issue and redemption cycle. The circular punch cancellations across the lower portion and the clipped lower-right corner are deliberate invalidation features applied after the note was withdrawn from usable stock, permanently preventing further negotiation. Argentina 1867 - Banco Oxandaburu y Garvino 5 Pesos Bolivianos Remainder (Pick S1776r)

The most immediately distinctive feature is the issuer name printed across the face: OXANDABURU Y GARVINO. Historical records identify the partner as Domingo Luis Garbino, while the printed 1867 issue uses GARVINO with a V. This spelling is a defining feature of the 1867 partnership issue and is preserved again on the related 20 Pesos Bolivianos remainder of the same year.
