The obverse features an engraved portrait of Tadeusz Kosciuszko at left, depicted with flowing hair within an ornamental oval frame. The central composition carries the Bank Polski title, the denomination STO ZLOTYCH, the issuing city Warszawa, and the printed date 28 February 1919. Below appear the signatures of Bank Polski directors Stanislaw Karpinski and Zygmunt Chamiec and Chief Treasurer Marian Karpus.

United States 1902 – 5 Dollars Large Size Plain Back National Bank Note – The Thomas County National Bank of Colby, Kansas Charter 13076 Error Note (Fr.609)

Organized in May 1927, The Thomas County National Bank of Colby, Kansas, was one of the last institutions chartered under the National Banking Act, entering the system just as small-town banks faced increasing consolidation pressures. Chartered as number 13076, it was led by cashier N. Reimers and president W. D. Ferguson, whose engraved signatures appear boldly in dark ink on this note. Despite its late founding date, the bank issued both large-size 1902 Plain Backs and small-size 1929 series notes before the National system’s absorption into the FDIC framework in the mid-1930s.

Despite the minor handling typical for the grade, the note retains full originality and strong color contrast, with deep blue Treasury seal and serials against crisp off-white paper.
