Sweden 1785 - Stockholm Spinnhus Pollett System – Complete Nine-Denomination Institutional Currency Set:One Half Öre to One Daler (Pick Unlisted)

The monetary system consists of nine denominations: one half öre, one öre, two öre, five öre, six öre, seven öre, sixteen öre, twenty-four öre and one daler. Each note was engraved with a distinct ornamental frame and printed anopisthographically on eighteenth-century Swedish rag paper. All examples remain unissued and uncirculated, with several retaining archival tape residue from long-term institutional storage. Individual denominations are exceptionally rare, and the higher values-particularly seven öre, sixteen öre, twenty-four öre and one daler-are almost never encountered in private collections. Spain 1857 - Banco de Zaragoza 100 Reales Vellon Serie A No. 23327 Full Sheet with Header and Talon Specimen (Pick S451s)

Rarity is at the highest level. Importantly, PMG census data for the base Pick S451 grouping cannot be used to measure rarity for Zaragoza, because PMG aggregates multiple unrelated banks under the same base number (Barcelona, Cádiz, Valencia, Madrid, Pamplona, and others). Full-sheet S451s specimens for Banco de Zaragoza are not recorded by PMG at all. This example appears to be unique or one of very few survivors of its type, placing it firmly in the R8+ category. Spain 1857 - Banco de Zaragoza 200 Reales Vellon Serie B No. 07887 Full Sheet with Header and Talon Specimen (Pick S452s)

A full-sheet specimen of the Banco de Zaragoza 200 reales vellón dated 14 May 1857, Serie B, serial number 07887, classified as Pick S452s. This complete production sheet preserves the entire printing layout: the upper header panel used for alignment and plate control, the left talón for internal audit numbering, and the full banknote plate. Full-sheet specimens from Spanish provincial banks in the 1850s are exceptionally rare, and survivals with both header and talón intact are almost unknown. Read more →

Rarity is extreme. PMG census entries for the broader Pick S453 family combine notes from multiple unrelated banks and do not represent Banco de Zaragoza. No full-sheet S453s specimens from Zaragoza are recorded in PMG archives or in the catalog history of major Spanish auctions (Aureo & Calicó, Cayón, Soler y Llach, Vico). Australia 1900 - Bank of New South Wales £20 Sydney Circular Note Specimen (Pick Unlisted)

Together, the face instructions, Letter of Indication reference, signature-verification procedure, London exchange provision, reverse demand draft, institutional watermark, and printer specimen markings preserve the complete operating structure of an early 20th-century Australian circular note. Australia 1890 - Bank of New South Wales £10 Melbourne Circular Note Specimen (Pick Unlisted)

The reverse contains the blank sterling draft used when the circular note was cashed. It is addressed to The Bank of New South Wales at Old Broad St., London and carries the value £10 Stg. together with the wording "On demand pay to the order" and "TEN POUNDS Sterling value received." Blank ruled fields provide space for the place, date, and other transaction details, with the printed date line again retaining the "18__" format. Read more →

Poland 1936 - 50 Zlotych Jan Henryk Dąbrowski (Pick 78a, Miłczak 77a–b)

Despite completion and delivery to Bank Polski, the note never entered regular peacetime circulation. Approximately two thousand examples were produced, but the outbreak of war in September 1939 halted the planned release. During the ensuing cash shortage, a limited quantity was reportedly issued under emergency conditions, primarily in northern Poland.
