This official specimen belongs to the Bank Polski 1 Zloty issue dated 28 February 1919, prepared as part of the first zloty series for the restored Polish state. The banknote was designed, engraved, and printed in 1919 as part of an issue held in reserve while the Polish marka remained in circulation. The issued notes entered circulation in 1924 during the monetary reform of Wladyslaw Grabski, when the new zloty replaced the inflation-damaged marka and Bank Polski became the central issuing institution. ...
