Spain 1857 - Banco de Zaragoza 200 Reales Vellón Serie B Specimen Full Sheet with Header and Talón No. 07887 (Pick S452s)

A full-sheet specimen of the Banco de Zaragoza 200 reales vellón dated 14 May 1857, Serie B, serial number 07887, classified as Pick S452s. Mauritius ND (1940) Government of Mauritius 1 Rupee uncut pair remainder, Pick 26r1 (remainder of Pick 26), PMG 55 EPQ Top Pop with crisp green and rose print and punch cancels

Mauritius 1940 - Government of Mauritius 1 Rupee Uncut Pair Remainder (Pick 26r1)

Registration between the green key design and rose underprint can be examined simultaneously across both impressions. The repeated placement of the frames, denomination counters, guilloché fields and major pictorial elements demonstrates the consistency of the printing from one adjoining position to the next. The pair therefore documents not only the appearance of the Pick 26r1 remainder but also the spacing, registration and physical organization of the notes within the larger production sheet. 2005 Northern Bank £50 replacement note, prefix YY001940, printed by De La Rue after 2004 robbery recall

Ireland - Northern 2005 - Northern Bank £50 Replacement Prefix YY (Pick 208)

Replacement notes such as this are among the rarest 2005 Northern Bank issues. The 'YY' prefix was reserved for internal control and used only when a regular production sheet was damaged or spoiled during printing. Fewer than a few thousand replacement £50s are estimated to have been released, making this an exceptional survivor of Northern Ireland’s most infamous banking episode. Read more →

Specimen Banco de Zaragoza 200 reales vellón, Serie B No. 07958, Pick S452s, 14 May 1857

Spain 1857 - Banco de Zaragoza 200 Reales Vellón Serie B Issued Note No. 07958 (Pick S4532s)

Serial 07958 places this specimen within the same Serie B emission as the full-sheet specimen No. 07887 held in the collection. The combination of a full production sheet specimen and a standard-format specimen from the same emission is exceptionally rare in Spanish provincial material. Because no issued 200 reales vellón notes from Zaragoza are confirmed to survive, specimen examples represent the primary documentation of this type. Read more →
